Equine Ambulance

The need for an Equine Ambulance in the greater Aiken area is acute. Frequently, Animal Control Officers and veterinarians are called upon to rescue and remove large animals from dangerous situations or save them from abusive situations. Accidents occasionally occur at horse-related sporting events, and even simple trail rides can have a mishap. There is no ambulance to rescue and care for these stricken animals.

A committee was formed to raise funds to purchase and medically outfit a trailer that would be used by trained animal control personnel from the City of Aiken and Aiken County. The SPCA, as a non-profit 501c3, receives donations that are dedicated to the Equine Ambulance fund. After the vehicle is purchased, it will be donated to the City of Aiken for operation.

The fund raising goal is $50,000. We are almost at the half-way mark.
Please donate to support the Equine Ambulance Fund.
