Off-site adoptions give the community a chance to meet Aiken SPCA residents, and to learn more about what we do. By taking our furry friends out of the shelter and into public places, we’re able to showcase them to a segment of the community we may not otherwise be able to reach. Since Petsmart opened in 2003, our adoptions have increased significantly, and continue to grow as more local businesses open their doors to us.
Volunteering with off-site adoptions is easy and fun, and there is something for everyone! Volunteers help make the adoption process easier from start to finish. The day before an adoption event, volunteers groom the pups that will be part of the event. The day of, volunteer drivers, loaders, customer service representatives, and adoption counselors are all part of the excitement that spreads when we place animals in loving homes.
